Hobbies Assignment

The assignments I were most proud of was the Hobbies and the Creative Portrait assignments. I was proud of the Hobbies assignment because it got to capture who I am and describe it to the viewer the way I look at myself. I was proud of the Creative Portrait assignment because I think I got some really nice and beautiful pictures. These assignments really helped the way I look at people and objects. They impacted my learning by learning how to capture a good image and how to get different perspectives on an image. These were also some of the most fun and enjoyable assignments.

Most Memorable Experiences

I have many memorable experiences from this past semester of Photo 1. One of my most memorable experiences was when I went to the Cumberland County Fair and got to capture the theme of the fair and got to experience everything through each photo I took. Another memorable experience was when I took the creative portraits assignment, it was fun because I got to include some people that were special to me and got to do it in a creative. A final memorable experience was when I got to do the Culture Clash Project and I got to play around with photoshop and have fun. I think that these were the most entertaining and memorable assignments that I did.

Who Am I?

Who Am I?

I am a fisherman, I am a gamer, I am a music-lover, I am a good friend who anyone who wants to be my friend. Music is a big part of my life and has been since I was very young. I always listened to music or listened to something because I cannot take a completely quiet room. It annoys me. Music really describes my mood and personality. Music can make me change my mood in an instant. It would be like giving a kid their favorite candy bar, or in another case it could be like taking a chocolate bar away from the kid and pushing him to the ground. I myself could never live without music. I hold it as close to me as I do my close friends.

Pollution in China

I was impressed by how filthy china is and about how polluted china is. I am also impressed how much sewage and waste is in the water. The photographer definitely put the viewer into his shoes. I think these photographs are very dark and depressing. They definitely are thought provoking. I think these photos also show how polluted and in poverty other countries are.

Culture Clash

One thing I learned with this project is that I could easily merge things to look like they belonged into the picture. Another thing I learned was that I could change the lighting on objects to make sure they blended in with the lighting of other things in the picture. One thing I found challenging was figuring out what I should put in terms of the layering. Another thing I found challenging was determining how to put the skyscraper in the background and have it not seem up close. I dealt with these difficulties by asking for help and then playing around with different tools.
